‘Heyfields’ is best with about 3-5 foot waves, high tide and obviously offshore winds, plan your to visits to coincide these conditions and you be assured a fun day out. The coastline is littered with rocky shelves and reef, it goes without saying that ‘Heyfields’ is no exception and it is what gives the break such great shape and decent ride duration. The only catch being you will have to climb across rocks upon entry and exit from the water, otherwise unless you choose to surf at low tide you shouldn’t have a problem. On a good day the wave should provide for 3-4 solid turns giving you plenty of time to hone your skills and technique.
