Paynesville, located along the shores of the massive Gippsland Lakes in Victoria, could only be described as boating ‘Heaven’. The facilities are specifically designed for the boating fraternity. Boat ramps, jetties, amenities, picnic facilities a plenty, are dispersed along the shoreline.
Newlands Arm provides a more sheltered body of water for those who enjoy water skiing activities. A single lane boat ramp is located some 750 m west of the township of Paynesville, along the beautiful Sunset Drive – which provides direct access to Newlands Arm.
At the mouth of Newlands Arm is Lake Victoria – one of the larger lakes that shapes the massive Gippsland lake and river system – it covers a massive 400 sq km !!!
The village of Paynesville is situate directly on the waterfront, providing easy access for boaters to grab something to eat or do a spot of shopping . . .
