Boating - Tambo River, Clues Rd, Johnsonville, Gippsland, VIC

The Tambo River offers boating enthusiasts approximately 20 km of sheltered waters to enjoy.  From the shallows at Upper Tambo (around the cliff area) to the mouth of the river at Lake King.

From the mouth of the river, there are some 400 square kilometres of the Gippsland Lakes system to be explored.  Direct access to Bass Strait is via The Entrance located in the vicinity of the township of Lakes Entrance.

An absolute mecca for boating enthusiasts of all disciplines:  motor, sailing, jet skiing, wind surfing, kayaking and so forth.

The boat ramp at Johnsonville provides great access, ample parking and amenities.
