There are numerous entry / exit points – all dependent solely upon your preference.
Though the escarpments of Vernon Point only rise to some 14.5 m in height, the views across to Fraser Island and the villages lining the foreshore of Hervey Bay from this segment of the trail, are absolutely breathtaking – bestowing an entirely different perspective of this beautiful part of Australia.
The shoreline varies from sand to rock to mangrove forest. A number of monuments, picnic and viewing areas are dispersed along the way.
The trail is an easy gradient the entire way, consisting of well maintained paved surfaces. The trail, for the most part, is separated from the road.
