Located at the mouth of Merriman Creek in Seaspray, Victoria, this large picnic area overlooks the creek estuary – which would be more aptly named a river rather than a creek – it is huge !!!
Looking inland delights with views of the tranquil waters of the estuary, whilst the opposite direction bestows the mesmerising spectacle of surf pounding to shore . . .
The reserve boasts many facilities as well as direct access to the surf beach, estuary waters, jetty and walking trails.
Amenities include boat ramp, barbeques, picnic tables, pavilions, public toilets, seating and rubbish bins. With ample parking, large grassed areas, some sheltered by trees situate along the sand dunes – it makes for a beautiful spot to enjoy the lagoon and the surf with activities such as: surfing, fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, hiking, cycling, a picnic on the banks of the estuary, a game of cricket on the beach – just to name a few . . .
Access via Trood Street.
