The lower car park Portsea’s ‘Back Beach‘ on the Mornington Peninsula, affords a viewing area with bench seats to relax and enjoy the panoramic views of this stunning coastline. Public toilets and outdoor showers are also provided at this locale. Situate only some 36 m above sea level, this carpark provides shorter trip down a walkway, which includes stairs, to the beautiful beach below. Incidentally, pathways link all the five car parks sited along the surf beach at Portsea.
This car park provides in excess of 60 car parking bays – many of which enjoy the stunning views without even having to hop out of the car !! The beach access passes directly by the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), and once at beach level, ‘London Bridge‘ lies just 1.5 km stroll to the east, and ‘Sorrento Back Beach’ 2.5 km to the east.
No matter what the weather, there is so much to see, experience and do – so enjoy !!!
