‘Raws Reserve’ covers an area of approximately 18.5 acres incorporating walking trails, wetlands, expansive lawn areas, picnic facilities, playground, car parking, and amenities. With the beach just beyond the trees where all manner of water activities can be pursued, this cliff top reserve is just perfect to enjoy a day out – no matter what the weather or surf may be like.
The reserve is also a haven for indigenous species – both flora and fauna. Whilst strolling along the walking trails, keep an eye out for koalas, echidnas, ducks, white-faced herons, ibis, cormorants, and in the warmer months, snakes. Many of Australia’s snakes are highly venomous – be sure to keep your distance !!!
Wandering beyond the reserve to the walking trails that meander along the cliff tops, look out for for seals and dolphins playing in the surf, whilst during the colder months, the Southern Right Whale may be passing through . . .
There is so much to do on this stunning rocky outcrop known as Point Leo.
