The Blowhole is a spectacular site especially with a large swell as waves crash ruthlessly into a sheer rock cliff splashing metres into the sky. Its the unique circumstance where wave energy runs unimpeded and uninterrupted from the the deep ocean until it dramatically collides with the rock face that causes water to be thrown into the air with such force. The best view of the Blowhole and the entire bay from which it is located in, is from the lookout at the South end of Blowhole Track. Following the wooden boardwalk and staircase down to the rocky beach and rock pools in the neighboring bay also offers alternate perspective views of the blowhole and is well worth the short walk.

1 Review on “Flinders Blowhole - Sth End Blowhole Track, Flinders, Mornington Peninsula, VIC”
I could watch the waves crashing at this spot for hours. Some splashes are pretty huge and its great that its not too crowded at least when i went 🙂
