For the more adventurous, confident and capable of venturing onto rough dirt tracks, and, for those equipped with a 4 x 4, this area is a beautiful example of the real Australian Bush. Playgrounds Road runs along a ridge bestowing views across the mountains, valleys and rivers. Diverting down another trail, the track begins to descend rather rapidly, and then the unspoiled beauty, peace and tranquility of the river junction unfolds . . .
The pebbly Tambo River bounces and trickles over the stones until it reaches deeper, delightful swimming holes – where the two rivers meet. The water crystal clear, clean waters surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the mountains . . . During the Summer months the waters are a beautiful temperature in which to swim.
Mother Nature in all her glory – recuperating, and, relatively untouched . . .
The pebbled beach area is perfect for a cuppa by the camp fire, to take in the negative ions, to rest and recuperate, an overnight stay . . .
