Located atop the summit of Arthurs Seat, a large stone edged platform commands immense views across Port Phillip Bay to Melbourne, Mt Dandenong, the Mornington Peninsula, and, a little further eastward, across to Western Port.
Bordering on the Arthurs Seat State Park, picnic and park facilities are a plenty, as well as rest rooms.  For those wishing for a more formal eatery, a restaurant is also close on hand.  The summit area offers a choice of walking trails which take you through parks, woodlands, ponds, gardens – depending on how long you would prefer to hike or stroll.  Interesting information signage and amazing views abound along the way . . .
The elegant metallic high backed chair named Arthurs Seat is positioned just across the road from the summit look out, together with a memorial commemorating those lost in two fateful plane collisions into Arthurs Seat, as well as an information pavilion.
A large car parking area has been provided directly at the ‘Summit Lookout’.
