Set on top of a groin which stretches into the sea, this ‘Viewing Platform’ bestows tremendous views across the stunning Hervey Bay – stretching from Point Vernon to your left, to, the historic Urangan Pier and Fraser Island to your right. One can really appreciate the length of the ‘Urangan Pier’ from this vantage point – as it stretches 868 m out into the bay – and yet it was once much longer that this . . .
The magnificent Hervey Bay Esplanade Trail passes through this locale, which is just one of so many facilities and amenities provided along the way. There are many walkways to access the beach, bestowing the option to walk the beach or enjoy a swim too !!!
‘Viewing Platform’ Facilities include: Public Toilets, sheltered Picnic Tables & Barbecues, beach access, rubbish bins, and, a little further along in the westward direction are some more open-air Picnic Tables.
