The ‘Ernie Organ Park‘ precinct features a pier which extends out onto the water bestowing tremendous views of the Hervey Bay – stretching from Point Vernon to the Urangan Pier. On a clear day, Fraser Island can also be seen in the distance. For those with a keen eye, a lot of luck and patience, at the right time of year (July to November) you might just spot a Humpback Whale. The pier also offers an excellent vantage point to watch the sail boats departing from, and returning to, the nearby sail club – possibly even whilst trying your hand at catching dinner from this popular fishing location.
When walking or riding the Hervey Bay Esplanade Trail, this is a great spot to appreciate how far you have come, and how you still have to go….
‘Ernie Organ Park’ Facilities include: Public Toilets, open-air Picnic Tables, Sheltered Picnic Tables & Barbecues, Outdoor Showers, Playground, Pier, Boat Ramp, and rubbish bins.
