Torakina Park is located on the east bank of Simpsons Creek, encompassing the entire peninsula, north of South Beach Road – from the Creek to the Ocean.
The park bestows expansive, sheltered lawn areas overlooking the Brunswick River South Arm, known as Simpsons Creek – with its beautiful old wooden bridge c 1960; as well as the original walkway bridge c 1937, across the the seaside village of Brunswick Heads.
Access to the beautiful Brunswick River swimming cove, walking tracks, Walking & Bike Riding Trail, surf beach, the breakwater at the mouth of the Brunswick River, amazing views all around, the myriad of eateries located just across the walkway – all make for a stunning day out.
Facilities include sheltered and open air picnic tables, public toilets, and a huge area for that game of cricket, soccer … with the family.
